Miguel Staunton (vocals)

Miguel hails from the great city of Montreal where he performed with his brothers and sister in the French recording act, The Stauntons, and was a bit of a traveler in his earlier days. Having lived in various parts of Canada as well as the States, most notably in Los Angeles where he immersed himself in the local music scene. Originally a drummer, Miguel has played in various blues and rock acts in California and has toured with several bands. Upon settling in Vancouver, Miguel founded the band "Faces of Eve" which went on to enjoy success through killer live shows and touring. Miguel's one-of-a-kind voice stands apart from the usual rock frontmen. In Sugarblade, Miguel's vocals range from restrained, Morrisey-like angst to beautifully emotional (and personal) tones that can be compared to The Cure, and Radiohead. Miguel can still pound the drums with the best of them, dances on stage after a few drinks, and secretly is a very accomplished cook.
